Experiment I: Board Pictures

Below is a somewhat clear picture of a nearly constructed board (click it to enlarge). It does not have the Insteon controller chip or the required crystal (it is in the mail). I also haven't installed the 24 pin socket used to connect the board to a Phytec Expansion card.

I have tested the power (top of the board) and the AC/Zero-crossing detection circuits (right side of board). They are all working. Next, I am going to test the receive circuit (upper-middle-right of the board). Then the charge pump (upper-middle-left of the board). Then finally, the transmit circuits.

I have had to do a little repair. I didn't make the holes large enough for the two terminal blocks. So, I had to drill them out. Of course, that ripped up the traces so I had to add them back in with wires (see red wires running under board at upper-left side of board). There are similar repairs under the AC power terminal block.
